ABG Technologies gets E-Wallet Licence
ABG Technologies Limited, a concern of Bashundhara Group, has been awarded payment service provider (PSP) licence to run electronic wallet in the country.
The Payment Systems Department of Bangladesh Bank issued a circular on Thursday in this regard.
“ABG Technologies Limited has been awarded PSP licence to run operations inside the country as per the Bangladesh Payment and Settlement System Regulations-2014,” reads the circular signed by BB Director (PSD) Muhommad Badiuzzaman Dider.
A payment service provider refers to a third-party company, which provides payment services to businesses that accept online payment methods.ABG Technologies is developing a mobile app — Pocket — to provide the digital payment services.
